Considerations for Applying from Outside the Country
- The visa application must be submitted to the immigration with the applicant outside UAE.
- The applicant shouldn’t buy or book a UAE airline ticket until a UAE entry permit is received.
- While the entry permit process is in function, the applicant shouldn’t apply for a visit or tourist visa.
- Electronic entry permits are sent through email. Before the UAE flight, make sure to print your permit.
- Upon your UAE arrival, don’t forget to get the entry stamp on your entry permit and passport.
- The entry permit lasts for 60 days. The applicant needs to enter the country and get Emirates ID biometric and medical tests before this time.
- The Emirates ID authority won’t accept applicants who don’t have their negative covid test results or completed UAE-approved vaccine shots.
- For the UAE residence visa stamping, getting a medical insurance card/policy is a must.
- The applicant’s passport will be held by immigration through the visa stamping process, so the applicant is not allowed to withdraw the application or exit the country. The full application will be canceled if the passport is withdrawn.
- The return ticket should not be booked until you get your passport back after the visa stamping.
- The holder of the residence visa cannot be outside the country above 179 days consecutively, otherwise, the visa becomes invalid and canceled.
- The regulations and rules of visa, the requirements, and procedures included can change without any prior notice

- After receiving the entry permit, you can go for a visa status change. If the applicant is allowed to leave the country for some time, it will be allowed with certain conditions.
- The resident permit stays valid for only 60 days after issue. Applicant needs to fulfill the biometric Emirates ID process, medical test, or other required procedures for the visa stamping UAE for UAE residence.
- Applicants will not be accepted without negative covid test results or a complete course of vaccinations that are approved by the UAE.
- Getting medical insurance is necessary for getting the stamping for a residence visa.
